Profile makeover #2: Akash

The before photos

A shot on coastal steps makes a strong lead: you see his face clearly, the outfit is simple, and the setting adds interest without overwhelming him. The water photo gives the lineup a more active feel. An evening shot by a fire adds a different mood and a closer view of his face.

Together, the images show more range than another three walking variations on a travel pose. The practical lesson is to choose photos that do different jobs across the profile, while still looking like someone a match would recognize in person.

In addition, these look like him on his best day, with stronger grooming, lighting, and angles. The goal is to look about a point higher than you do in everyday photos. Girls expect that. A lot of guys who are a 6 show up looking like a 5, and girls assume they are a 4.
