Who counts as a referral?
Someone who reaches UnrealPhotos through your link and becomes a new paying customer within 30 days. It has to be their first purchase from us — if they have bought from us before, including a credit pack, they are an existing customer and their subscription doesn't earn a commission.
How is my link tracked?
Clicking your link stores it in the visitor's browser for 30 days. If they click someone else's link after yours, the most recent one wins. You can't refer yourself.
How much do I earn?
50% of the first monthly payment, or 25% of the first annual payment. It's calculated on what the customer actually paid, after any discount and excluding sales tax or VAT. Renewals, upgrades and credit packs don't earn a commission.
When can I get paid?
A commission is held for 60 days after the customer's payment, which is the window in which most refunds and chargebacks happen. After that it moves to your available balance and you can email us to arrange a transfer. The minimum payout is $20.00 — anything below that stays in your balance and carries over.
What if the customer refunds or disputes the payment?
Then we didn't keep the money, so the commission comes back off your balance — in proportion, if it was only partly refunded. You'll see it in your history as an adjustment rather than the earning quietly disappearing. If a payment is disputed we hold that commission until the bank decides; win it and the commission is restored.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Any UnrealPhotos account can activate a referral link — no application, no approval queue, no paid plan, and you don't need to upload any photos.
