Affiliate program terms

Any UnrealPhotos account can activate a referral link. There is no application, approval step, separate account type, paid plan or minimum audience, and joining is free.

You may not bid on our brand name in paid search, impersonate UnrealPhotos, promise results we don't advertise, post your link as spam, or promote the product anywhere it would breach another platform's rules. We can end your participation if you do, and unpaid commissions earned through that activity will not be paid.

A commission is earned when someone who reached UnrealPhotos through your referral link becomes a new paying customer on a monthly or annual personal subscription. You earn 50% of their first monthly payment, or 25% of their first annual payment.

One commission per customer, on their first payment only. Later renewals, upgrades, downgrades and repeat subscriptions do not earn anything further.

Credit packs, agency packs and lifetime plans do not earn a commission, and neither does a customer who has bought from us before — including someone who previously only bought a credit pack. They are an existing customer, not a new one.

A zero-value payment earns nothing. If a customer's first period is fully covered by a discount or a trial, the commission is earned on their first payment that is actually above zero.

You cannot earn a commission on your own purchases.

Commission is calculated on what the customer actually paid: after any discount or promotional code they used, and excluding sales tax, VAT or any other tax. The examples on the affiliate page use our list prices, so a discounted order earns proportionally less than the example shows.

We may change our prices at any time. That changes future commissions, because they follow the price paid — it does not change a commission you have already earned.

Clicking your referral link stores it in the visitor's browser for 30 days. If they buy within that window, the sale is attributed to you.

If someone clicks more than one affiliate's link, the most recent valid link before checkout is the one that earns. Where a partner has been assigned a promotion code, using that code at checkout takes precedence over a stored link.

Attribution is captured when the checkout is created. If that payment settles later, it stays yours — later clicks on someone else's link do not take it away. Attribution does not become permanent just because the customer created an account: the window runs from the click, not from signup.

We can only track what reaches us. A browser that blocks cookies, a customer who clears them, or a purchase made on a different device than the one that clicked may not be attributed, and we cannot reconstruct those after the fact.

Every commission is held for 60 days from the customer's payment. This is the window in which most refunds and chargebacks arrive. Until it passes, the commission shows as pending and cannot be paid out.

After the holding period the commission moves to your available balance.

If we refund a payment, the commission on it is reversed in proportion to the amount refunded. A partial refund reduces the commission by the same proportion.

If a customer disputes a payment with their bank, we hold the commission on it until the dispute closes. If we win, the commission is restored and continues on its normal schedule. If we lose, the commission is reversed, because we never received that money.

Reversals appear in your earnings history as adjustments alongside the original commission, so you can always see what changed and why.

If a refund or a lost dispute arrives after we have already paid you, the reversed amount is deducted from your next payout rather than invoiced back to you.

Payouts are arranged by email and made manually — there is no automatic transfer. Contact us once your available balance reaches the $20.00 minimum and we'll arrange it.

A balance below $20.00 is not lost. It stays in your account and carries forward until it clears the minimum.

You are responsible for any tax you owe on what you earn. We do not withhold tax and we are not your employer; nothing in this program creates an employment, partnership or agency relationship.

We may change these terms or the commission rates, or end the program. Changes apply to commissions earned after the change; commissions you have already earned keep the rate and amount they were recorded at.

You can stop taking part at any time. Any commission you have already earned still gets paid, subject to the refund and dispute terms above.
